Franny's Last Ride. A story of a motorcycle version of hospice

Among other things, I am an avid listener to podcasts on my Iphone. One of my favorites is "The Moth". In short it a collection of stories told live on stage. The rules are simply that the stories have to be true and delivered without notes. Some are professional writers, professional performers, comedian's and then just regular firemen, cops, and other's who have a compelling story to tell. Mike Destefano is an avid motorcycle rider and former drug addict and stand-up comic. He tells a heartwrenching story about the love of his life and her last ride. It is called "Franny's Last Ride". Take a listen and be sure to have the kleenex nearby. Take a listen

Wow it makes you think how blessed we really are. I thank God everyday for my life and the life of my family. Me and my wife both ride but since my accident it is hard to get her back on her bike. I came out alright I only missed 10 weeks of work total and $1000 damage to my bike.
