Joel Moses A copy of a letter a rider sent to the mayor of Myrtle Beach, S.C. Interesting read re: Predudice against Motorcyclelists

This is a letter a rider sent to the Mayor of Myrtle Beach after encountering some problems there. Make you own conclusions, but I thought it was a well put point of view.

Joel Moses Organization of Ride-again

Hey all. The site is getting bigger every week. We have some great active members and many "active" lurkers. The site belongs to us all, so I wanted to point out one thing that I think could improve the site and hope I get some response from others to see if you have any great ideas. When I step away from the site for a day or two, I get lost. I almost always look to the recent activity and it is so short that some great poststhat I read on my i-phone over the weekend are already buried. Not sur… Continue

Bob Feinen Insurance '101'

Insurance: 1.a: the business of insuring persons or property; b: coverage by contract whereby one party undertakes to indemnify or guarantee another against loss by a specified contingency or peril; c: the sum of which something is insured; 2. a means of guaranteeing protection or safety;

Isn't insurance something that I'm told I have to have and it's my job to find the cheapest rate?

Depending upon how you answered the above question is probably a true indication of how you lo… Continue

diane merlau amazingw-d 40

Had a thought in the shower ! Thats where i do my best thinking ,plus i remembered after my surgery how hard it was to shower !
After my surgery i was covered in beta dyne and tape residue , i had a block done and they had tape everywhere to hold my arm in place till it wore off. The physical therapist told me it would take a month or longer for it to wear off,that soap and water wouldn't be effective. Lucky for me i didn't have hair where my surgery was done,it was my clavicle and i also kn… Continue

Andrew Kass Looks like Dual Clutch is now coming to Motorcycles!!

Just read an article from the New York Cycle World International Motorcycle Show where Honda put out the first motorcycle with a dual clutch. Basically, it is like an automatic with a manual mode, S (sport) mode and good old fashioned D (automatic) mode... I am surprised quite frankly this has taken so long, it is my humble opinion, it will encourage many more people (ie, woman) to move to the front of the bike. What are your thoughts? Here is a link to the… Continue

Joel Moses Harry Hurt of the Hurt Report, dies

In one of the greatest intersections of name and purpose, Harry Hurt created the Hurt Report. The Report is to this date, the most comprehensive study on motorcycle accidents that exists. If you haven't ever read it, rest assured your safety training has been effected by Mr. Hurt's study. Below is the link to a great obituary in the Los Angeles Times. http://www.latimes.com/news/obituaries/la-me-harry-hContinue

Joel Moses World's Greatest Motorcycle Goes Electric (taken from Wired Magazine) OR The Past and Future of Motorcycle's

The world’s greatest motorcycle isn’t a work of art, nor is it a speed demon of any sort. But the 50cc kick-star Honda Super Cub — with just four horsepower and a top speed of 50 mph — is the single most successful vehicle in the history of internal combustion. Honda’s sold more than 60 million of them, and after all that time the Cub is going electric. Honda pulled the wraps off a two-wheel-drive EV-Cub at the Tokyo Auto Show. The slick concept nicely updates a design that debuted in 1958, whe… Continue

Tina Graham To ride again or not....that's the question for now

I'm sure my story is the same as so many of you but I feel so alone - like no one knows what I am dealing with, both phycally and mentaly. To the outsiders it's cut and dry - Don't ride again but to me it's not that easy. I took my class on how to ride at my husband's suggestion and found out how cool it would be to get off the back and to be in control. I didn't pass the class the first time but nailed it the second time. I got my endorsement the first week of June 2009, bought my first Harley… Continue
