Yep if you ride aggressively it can eat your tires up. We have had guys in my sport bike club come over with some marginal tires and have them corded by the end of the day. Still some great roads with little LEO interference.

Watched some videos. Pavement doesn't seem great but the road is open, curvy, and beautiful. Up here in Illinois, the River Road ride along the Mississippi, north into Wisconsin is my favorite. Great views, surprising elevations.

I agree, used is the way to go. Why pay all the extra's for New, just to say it's new. Then you have to work it in, take the risk it's a lemon. Used, if you know what' your looking for, you get a good price and your ready to ride.
