Honda Nighthawk 450. Every time I had to start it, I had to take the spark plug out, put in the starter fluid and fire it up. After that It ran great. I also remember riding in the rain, from South Bend to Chicago, little pellets hitting my face, th…

I think that making bikes easier to ride just gives people who shouldn't really be riding in the first place the ability to do so. I think the idea behind the clutch is maximum controll of your ride. Nothing over 150cc should be available without th…

My first bike was in 1982 and was a Motobecan Moped. My favorite memory was probably myself and a friend (who had a peugot moped) taking a 100 mile ride to Philly and back.. (for about $2 worth of gas!!)

What are your thoughts on bikes like the yamaha TMAX and cycles like the Can-Am spyder?  It seems like there is a push for "easier" bikes to ride to get more people riding, especially baby boomers.  Do you think this is a good trend?

Pretty cool new show at the Harley Museum in Milwaukee

It might be too cold to ride around here (chicago), but if you live near Milwaukee, the Harley Museum is opening up a new exhibit called "Hollywood and Harleys", which will have many famous bikes that were featured in the movies. Here is an article about the new exhibit.

Safe travels,

Looks like Dual Clutch is now coming to Motorcycles!!

Just read an article from the New York Cycle World International Motorcycle Show where Honda put out the first motorcycle with a dual clutch. Basically, it is like an automatic with a manual mode, S (sport) mode and good old fashioned D (automatic) mode... I am surprised quite frankly this has taken so long, it is my humble opinion, it will encourage many more people (ie, woman) to move to the front of the bike. What are your thoughts? Here is a link to the… Continue

No it wasn't the other cars fault there was just no time to stop or swerve. It would have been nice if the highway department would have put up warnings or something until they could get it out of the road.

I was leaving work and it was already dark on state highway 11 and as the speed reduces as coming into Sulphur springs the tree line comes close to the highway and a dead tree had fell into the entire right lane and as i approached it not knowing it was there i also met a car at exactly the same spot and as the car and i met i could not see the tree in the road ahead of me until it was too late and the rest is couch history.
