June of 2009 I did a 27 day trip on a sport tourer. 20 of those days were camping.
I did it as a test of living for extended periods on my motorcycle for the viability of doing so for my new Web-TV show.

I wrote an online article on how to pack. I hope some of you find it useful.

Note, I did this trip before I bought a tank bag. Tank bags are great for long hauls as sport bike riders can lay on it and take weight off the arms for a bit.
The pic is me in the Mohave desert near the Joshua Tree National Forest.

Good article and good advise. I tend to over pack when I travel through a wide temperature range. Other than that we seem to pack similar items. Best advise is to leave the leather at home as it is a big problem once wet. I also keep a water bottle hany and hydrate at every stop. Also, don't forget the camera! -JEP-
